Author Guidelines

The conference accepts 5 types of contributions:

The conference proceedings will be published in the series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) by Springer.

Full paper submissions (Regular & Special Session papers) must not exceed 12 pages (all manuscript content, including figures, tables and references, must fit into the page limit). Paper submissions must conform to the formatting instructions of Springer Verlag, LNCS series, and must strictly adhere to the submission schedule.

VBS & Demo Paper submissions must not exceed 6 pages (including figures, tables, and references) and must conform to the same formatting instructions.

Regular research paper submissions (including special session papers – except if explicitly stated otherwise in the call text for a specific special session) will be peer-reviewed in a double-blind review process; thus, the submissions need to be properly anonymized. VBS and Demo paper submissions need not be anonymized.

Each contribution (regular, special session, VBS, demo paper, etc.) must be associated with one full conference registration; only one contribution can be associated with each registration. Registered participants are expected to attend the conference.

The conference will give an award for the Best Paper, Best Paper Runner-up, Best VBS System, and Best Demo.

Dual Submission Policy

It is not allowed to submit papers that are identical (or substantially similar) to versions that have been previously published, or accepted for publication, or that have been submitted in parallel to other conferences. Such submissions violate our dual submission policy. There are two exceptions:

  • Submission is permitted for papers presented or to be presented at conferences or workshops without proceedings, or with only abstracts published.
  • Submission is permitted for papers that have previously been made available as a technical report (or similar, e.g., in arXiv). In this case, the authors should not cite the report, so as to preserve anonymity.

Camera-Ready Submission Instructions

Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers.

In addition, the corresponding author of each paper, acting on behalf of all of the authors of that paper, must complete and sign a Consent-to-Publish form. The corresponding author signing the copyright form should match the corresponding author marked on the paper. Once the files have been sent to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the papers cannot be made.

Final Paper

Please submit the files belonging to your camera-ready paper using your EasyChair author account. Follow the instructions after the login for uploading two files:

  1. Either a zipped file containing all your LaTeX sources or  a Word file in the RTF format, and
  2. The PDF version of your camera-ready paper

The page limit is 12 pages for Regular / Special Session papers, and 6 pages for Demo / VBS papers, and is strict.

Our publisher has recently introduced an extra control loop: once data processing is finished, they will contact all corresponding authors and ask them to check their papers. We expect this to happen shortly before the printing of the proceedings. At that time your quick interaction with Springer-Verlag will be greatly appreciated.

Please upload a signed and completed copyright form through your EasyChair account. The MMM 2021 copyright form can be found HERE.

It is sufficient for one of the authors to sign the copyright form. You can scan the form into PDF or any other standard image format.
