MMM 2021 calls for Demonstration Papers reporting novel and compelling demonstrations of MMM related technologies, in all areas listed in the call for (full) papers.
All kinds of demonstrations of working systems, prototypes, or proof-of-concepts that demonstrate new solutions, interesting ideas, or new applications of multimedia systems and applications are welcome.
Submissions must be no more than 6 pages long in Springer LNCS format. The abstracts of accepted demonstrations will be citable and published in the conference proceedings. Please refer to the Call for Papers / Author Guideline on the website for templates. Submissions should NOT be blind, so please do include the author details on the submission. An additional 1-2 pages should be appended to your paper illustrating what will be shown at the demo session at MMM. This additional content will not be published in the conference proceedings, should the submission be accepted. We also recommend including a URL linking to a short video (max. 3 min) to accompany the paper that shows the demo in action.
Demo submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- The scientific or engineering concept behind the work
- Novel or innovative aspects
- The potential level of interest for the MMM attendants and the multimedia community
Notice that these criteria are not exclusive. We aim at having a wide and interesting demo session addressing all kinds of multimedia related issues. Thus, work that lacks in novelty, but demonstrates important aspects about multimedia modeling is also welcome, as are initial implementations of preliminary but innovative, new ideas.
The paper submission deadline is
August 31, 2020 September 28, 2020. Please submit your demo proposals via the MMM 2021 submission site: https://easychair.org/my/conference?conf=mmm2021 (make sure to select the Demos track when creating a new submission).
Facilities at conference
Presenters are expected to bring the necessary equipment (computers, etc.) themselves. The conference will provide a table, power outlet, wireless (shared) internet and a poster board. If you have special needs (e.g., more space), please include a related note into your demo submission.
